The basic aeronautical knowledge (BAK) exam is the main exam required for a recreational pilot licence (RPL). It covers basic aviation theory, including: aircraft systems, meteorology, air law, and more.
PPL | $1000
As part of the private pilot licence, students are required to sit a PPL theory exam that expands on those topics covered in BAK.
CPL | $9000
Aerodynamics, AGK, Human Factors, Navigation, & Air Law
Meteorology & Performance
As part of a commercial pilot licence, students are required to sit seven CPL level theory exams. These are: Aerodynamics, Aircraft General Knowledge, Human Factors, Meteorology, Navigation, Air Law, and Performance.
